Caring for your Security Doors & Screens to keep them looking great

Care and maintenance of your products

Regular cleaning using a soft bristled brush, warm water and a mild detergent will keep your products looking new for years to come. Rinse well with fresh water to remove any residue.

Maintenance intervals

How often you clean your security screens depends on your environment:

  • Moderate - Mainly urban, inland and away from heavy industry
    ~ recommend cleaning every 3 months.
  • Tropical / severe - Coastal or marine, subject to salt deposition and within 10kms of the coast of western Australia
    ~ recommend cleaning every 2 to 4 weeks.

Lock care and maintenance

Care should be taken to avoid getting excessive water in the main lock and auxiliary 3 point lock.

If the lock is jamming spray lubricant into the lock body. Avoid spraying lubricant into the cylinder.
